TaeKwonDo Grading

Another challenge bites the dust! It took me a while to complete this one as I REALLY struggled with the colours on this one, but hey, thats what scrap challenges are all about, right? LOL! This challenge was Colour Combos Galore Pallette 223 and I think I only just scrapped in on time - my bad!

I chose photos of my son's TaeKwonDo yellow belt grading.  I had so many photos to choose from so ended up doing a double page.  It was an effort!  He enjoyed it back in 2003 but switched to karate since 2005.  It was a big moment in a 4yo's life when he achieves his belt - they think they are all ninja warriors and can take on the world LOL!

Check out Colour Combos Galore for more challenges to come....

Happy Holidays

Here is another page I have completed and have posted in the gallery at Dusty Attic.

I haven't played along there before so it was interesting to see so many lovely pages and the uses of chippees on some pages.  I think chipboard is a great way to experiment with different mediums and I am looking forward to venturing into the world of paint, gesso, microbeads and glimmer mist!  I have only used the 'leaves' from dusty attic on this page but will have a go at some other great chippees such as the fairies, birds, butterflies, clocks and gates.  I have a great photo of my children in WV on a lamp post in the middle of the main street and have seen a great chippee of a lamp post just like the one in the photo...so keep your eyes peeled for that one LOL!

Well I finally finished a challenge called WHITE with ONE at a challenge site that I am playing along at.  Bear with me as I load my page for all the world to see (a bit scary but hey thats why they are called challange sites).

Its a page that you had to create with white and one other colour.  I chose tones of green for the photos of my Grandma pictured with my children as I thought it would be a good colour to blend.  I have used my coredinations embossed cardstock - sanded back to reveal the 'granny flowers'.  My Grandmother is a very big lover of flowers and has heaps of them surrounding her in her home.  Ever since I was a little girl I always remember seeing flowers throughout her house.

My children found it a bit of a mouthful to call her 'Great Grandma' so in the end half the time they just call her 'Granny'.  She wasnt too fond of it at first but my children already have a Grandma in the family so it was much easier to describe her as a 'Granny' - much to my Grandmother's dismay LOL!

IT'S MY FIRST TIME!

I am always up for a challenge in life and well blogging is now one of them LOL!  I realise a lot of people have been doing it for a long time but of course this is my first.  The main reason I have created this blog is to play along with scrapbooking challenge sites as most of them now require you to have a blog to post your scrapbook pages.  So hence my blog is born!
